Storefronts INC is building pre-figurative police abolition in the bay and beyond. In the past two years, we have been organizing discussions between workers, owners, and volunteers representing over 40 small businesses and community organizations in the east bay and SF who are all interested in letting our communities know that police are not welcome in our storefronts. With the goal of never calling police, we create non-police emergency protocols. This is a way of showing each other that we don’t need cops, and that we can build alternatives to calling cops that create better results than their presence.
